Zulu peoples religion varies from christian and belief in a creator god Unkulunkulu. The zulu spiritual belief lies in the the belief of many ancestral gods of their dead ancestors. Some of the most common churches are African Initiated Churches, especially the Zion Christian Church and the United African Apostolic Church. Reformed, Anglican and Catholic Churches is also common. The zulu recognize and celebrate all of South Africa’s major holidays like Shaka’s day. Birth,death and puberty are all celebrated traditions and rites of passage. Main food staple consists of cow and agriculture. Boys and girls participate in track and field as well as girls playing a game called masishayana/maphakathi. this is a game where two girls stand opposite each other and another girl stands in the middle the two girls on the outside throw a tennis ball at the girl in the middle if hit she is out and if she avoids the ball 10 times she earns a point the player with the most points at the end is the winner.Zulu people enjoy weaving,craftmaking,pottery and bead work.
